Geomega Resources Inc. appoints Claude Britt as Chairman of the Board and announces management changes

MONTREAL, Nov. 1, 2010 – GEOMEGA RESOURCES INC. (“GeoMegA“) announces that Claude Britt has been appointed Chairman of the Board. Mr. Britt will also head the technical committee for all exploration and development work.
Mr. Britt has been active in mineral exploration and production for over 35 years, and has been directly involved in several mineral discoveries in Canada, Tanzania and Peru. He was formerly VP Exploration of Pangea Goldfields, which was taken over by Barrick Gold during his tenure in 2000.
GeoMegA also announced that Simon Britt replaces Benoît Moreau as President and CEO. Simon Britt has been CFO and Secretary since the IPO process began last May. René Lacroix replaces Simon Britt as CFO. André Lacroix is appointed Secretary. “Both have over 25 years of experience in mining securities and are terrific additions to GeoMegA management.” added Simon.
All changes are effective immediately.
GeoMegA is a Quebec based mineral exploration company focused in the exploration of rare earth elements. GeoMegA’s current mineral portfolio is located in the Abitibi and Upper Laurentians regions of Quebec.
Currently, GeoMegA has 14,155,001 common shares outstanding.
